First Week

Kathmandu from ground level. Although there is trash collection, garbage accumulates in and around the rivers. Older residents speak about how 30 years ago they used to drink straight from these now polluted rivers.

Two men find a dry place to huddle away from the rain for a few minutes near Durbar Square.

The start to rush hour traffic. Roads become gridlocked with cars, vans, trucks, safa tempos, and cows for a few hours in the mornings and afternoons.
